Thanks to the anarchy created by the blown call in Armando Galarraga's perfect game last night, I wasn't able to mention Ken Griffey Jr.'s retirement this in today's A.M. Hot Clicks. While many folks have waxed poetic about Griffey's sweet swing (and it was), the first thing that always comes into my head when I hear the words "Ken Griffey Junior" is his 1989 Upper Deck rookie card, which created a frenzy among collectors at the time. Here's a great article on the popularity of that card. And here's a clip of Griffey doing a cameo on The Fresh Price of Bel Air.

Galarraga brought up the lineup card this afternoon to Joyce, who was umpiring behind home plate. Joyce teared up and the two shared an emotional moment. Before that, Chevy gave Galarraga a Corvette for his perfect game that was but wasn't.

Yesterday's A.M. Hot Clicks told you about the feud between Visanthe Shiancoe and Darren Sharper. Things got ugly when Shiancoe Tweeted a picture of Osama bin Laden and connected him to Sharper. The Saints safety responded with this: "ok homeboy you done went too far, making me out to be something that has brought this country alot of heartache. ... Imma bust you right under your chinstrap from the first play on. I don't care about the fine. F the money Imma do it for the red, white&blue ... And you'll see me cuz I'll be dressed in black & gold. Protect your neck that's all the warning you get."
