Carson Palmer may be taking another step toward extracting himself from Cincinnati -- the area, anyway. It seems as if the change in offensive coordinators has not lessened quarterback Carson Palmer's resolve to leave the Bengals. A representative at Comey & Shepherd Realtors Wednesday confirmed that Palmer's five-bedroom house in Indian Hill is being prepared to be put on the market. The listing is scheduled to go up early next month. Reports have indicated that Palmer would retire if he isn't traded, but Palmer has not done an interview since the Bengals lost their final game of the season, at Baltimore on Jan. 2. Mets resort to giving tickets away
Despite the potential uplifting news of hiring of Sandy Alderson, the 2010-11 offseason has been a gloomy one in Queens, which has made it harder to sell tickets. After drawing nearly 600,000 fewer fans in 2010 than in the previous season, the Mets cut ticket prices by an average of 14 percent for 2011. ... On Tuesday, the Mets came out with a new lineup of season-ticket plans -- including, for the first time, free tickets. The new 5-, 11- and 17-game flex packs include tickets to opening day or one Subway Series game. Fans can choose from a slate of other games based on the opponent. Prices start at $99 per seat. Fans who sign up for one of these offers will get a bonus game thrown in. (The New York Times)Comment
