Third baseman David Freese was the hero for the Cardinals on Wednesday with four RBIs in the team's 5-3 win over the Phillies. The win forced a Game 5 to be played Friday. But the game's real show stealer was this squirrel, who made his presence known around home plate and in the stands, which didn't please Philadelphia starter Roy Oswalt. Phillies manager Charlie Manuel, showing that he isn't afraid of PETA, said after the game, "Of course, being from the South and being a squirrel hunter, if I had a gun there, might have done something. I'm a pretty good shot." The other highlight of the game was the Phillies center fielder Shane Victorinohaving an adventure in the outfield.

If I write "Here are a bunch of kids in Reggie Miller jerseys performing his most clutch shots," it doesn't sound all that enticing. But, trust me, the payoff here is enjoyable.

Re-Enacting Reggie

To no one's surprise, Terry Francona is in demand after parting ways with the Red Sox. The Laconia Muskrats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League have offered Francona a job. The annual salary would only be about $6,000 BUT he'd also get 25 percent off at a local burrito restaurant. How does he turn this down? In the meantime, while Francona mulls that offer over, he'll be calling the first two games of the ALCS with Joe Buck for Fox because Tim McCarver is having a minor heart operation.

Jeff Blair, of Sun Prairie, Wis., says, "Hi, Jimmy. I must admit I'm not a long-time reader. A friend just put me onto Hot Mustard and I thank him every day. After just completing one of the best Wisconsin sports weekend in history (UW over Nebraska, the Brewers, and the Packers demolishing Denver), the only thing that could make it better would be to have Zoe Saldana [featured]. Please make all our Wisconsin dreams come true! Thanks." Since Jeff is a new reader and I need to make sure I keep those, I'm honoring his request. By giving Jeff this Zoe Saldana photo gallery and this Zoe Saldana photo gallery, I'm also showing you that I can overlook someone calling Hot Clicks by the wrong name. As long as you read it, I don't care what you call it.

Whenever a major event happens these days, part of the fun is seeing who'll Tweet something about it that makes you scratch your head. Ladies and gentleman, here's Ravens offensive lineman and the inspiration for Blind Side, Michael Oher, on the passing of Apple's Steve Jobs.

Redskins tight end (and now fullback) Chris Cooley caused a stir by saying the following about Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and Dallas' loss last Sunday to the Lions: "It's hilarious to watch him throw pick-sixes, too, back-to-back. I loved it." I spoke to Cooley on the latest edition of The Hot Clicks Podcast about whether he has any personal issues with Romo, if he dislikes the Cowboys more than the Eagles and Giants, his new role as a part-time fullback, fantasy football (he just picked up teammate Ryan Torain), other NFL topics and more.
