The Rangers used speed and sacrifice flies to score a pair of runs in the ninth inning to squeak out a 2-1 win last night over the Cardinals in Game 2 of the World Series. Not to be lost in the late rally, however, should be two spectacular defensive plays by Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus in the fourth and fifth innings. One note for anyone out there who likes to make a recreational wager every now and then. I should have given this stat yesterday, but in case the Cardinals win another game, remember this: The Rangers have not lost two straight games since Aug. 23-25.

Right before halftime of Arizona's 48-12 beatdown on UCLA last night, a fan dressed as a referee hit the field and then proceeded to strip and streak. At the same time, a brawl broke out between the two teams.
Bizarre
Wildcats wide receiver Juron Crinerput on a show last night, totally faking out one defensive back for a touchdown and stealing the ball away from a different defensive back for another score. The sting of getting blown out for UCLA was compounded by the fact that the school told potential recruits to make sure they watched the game. That led to this funny Tweet.

UCLA-Arizona wasn't the only college football game played last night. UAB hosted Central Florida, too. However, nobody knew about it.
Depressing
Only the New York Post could find a way to use Moammar Gadhafi's death as a way to take a shot (no pun intended) at Alex Rodriguez. (Warning: Link contains graphic, bloody image of Gadhafi.)
Even I Think This Is Harsh
Here's a new one: Soccer player gets mad at ref, and kicks his shoe at him.
