Rabobank rider Sanchez leads Tour de Romandie
Rabobank rider Luis Leon Sanchez won the fifth stage of the Tour de Romandie on Saturday and took a 9-second lead over Britain's Bradley Wiggins overall with just one day to go.
The Spaniard finished the 114-mile stage from Bulle to Sion, Switzerland, in 4 hours, 56 minutes, 13 seconds to claim his second win in two days.
Sky rider Wiggins remained in the peloton as Sanchez won a sprint finish ahead of AG2R La Mondiale's Rinaldo Nocentini in second and Movistar rider Branislau Samoilau in third.
The tour ends Sunday with a time trial around Crans-Montana.
Three-time world time trial champion Michael Rogers, riding for Sky, is 16 seconds behind Sanchez in third place.
