Clearly, the Giants scoreboard operator doesn't believe in jinxes because this is what went up at AT&T Park last night at the start of the ninth inning before Matt Cain completed his perfect game. You can make the argument, though, that the perfect game was inevitable after outfielder Gregor Blancomade this incredible catch in the seventh inning. I saw this article from the New York Post that said the Mets were thinking about having a "quiet section" in Citi Field, where there would be no music, and PA announcements would be played at lower volumes. I actually love the idea because you can barely have a conversation at a ballpark these days. However, I was quickly alerted via Twitter that the section would be for families of autistic children. How in the world the Post leaves that out of its story is beyond comprehension to me. However, this whole thing does raise an interesting question about whether you'd want to sit in a "quiet section" at a baseball game if you had the chance. So vote in the poll below.
I Know I'm Getting Old Because I Love This
Andy, says, "Greetings from an avid reader in Beijing, China! I'm here on a work assignment for my company and luckily your Hot Clicks is not blocked by the Chinese government! Your site gives me a taste of home each day, so thank you for that! I know you've featured engagement proposal videos before but since I am terrible with a video camera, I used my talents and proposed to my now-fiance two weeks ago via a website/quiz I made. I thought of no better way to give guys the idea and share my joy with 'Merica. Check it out at www.grace-and-andy.com. Help me obtain my dream to be featured on Hot Clicks before my friend Brad!"
