Cameras catch Cutler berating linemen
It's just Jay Cutler's luck to have teed up lineman J'Marcus Webb on national television. The Bears quarterback was caught by cameras dressing down Webb on the sidelines of Thursday night's game and even chest-bumping the left tackle after telling him "get your [expletive] head into the game." Cutler couldn't avoid getting sacked by the Packers seven times in the 23-10 loss, and he definitely wasn't avoiding questions about publicly calling out an offensive line that he's taken numerous shots at since last May. "I care about this," Cutler said of the incident with Webb. "This isn't just a hobby for me. If we're not doing things the right way, I'm going to say something." (Chicago Sun-Times)Comment
Promotional appearance brings Rose to tears
Derrick Rose doesn't show much emotion on the court, but on Thursday he was overcome by it during a promotional event. Moments after a video played showing him tear his ACL during last season's playoff game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Rose sat with his head in his hands and cried. When asked a question, Rose continued to sob before taking almost a minute to compose himself. "It's truly a blessing, man," said Rose, still fighting back tears. "With all this stuff that's going on in this city. A kid from Englewood has something positive going on. That makes me feel so good. ... I can't explain this. I can't. I went through so much. To have, like, true fans, that means a lot to me. And I know it means a lot to my family." (Chicago Sun-Times)Comment
Marlins exec: We couldn't win with Hanley
Marlins president David Samson recently sat down to expand on owner Jeff Loria's comments suggesting the franchise was in full evaluation mode these days. [Said Samson:] "It's hard to build a team. There's a quality a winning team has. It's hard to put your fingers on what it takes to achieve that. I'm confident we'll keep trying. That I know for sure.
