Maria Hoefl-Riesch speeds down the course in the downhill portion of the women's super combined at the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships in Schladming, Austria on Feb. 8. The German took gold with a combined time of 2:39.92, .46 seconds faster than runner-up Tina Maze. The victory adds to Hoefl-Riesch's five career world championship medals.
Edmonton Oilers left winger Taylor Hall ends up on top of the net after Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky makes a save in the second period of the Feb. 10 game. Hall and the Oilers attack got the best of Bobrovsky with three goals on 14 shots -- the third goal was an empty netter -- in Edmonton's 3-1 victory.
Mac, an Australian Terrier, runs on a treadmill in a dog spa inside the Hotel Pennsylvania, located across the street from Madison Square Garden, home to the Westminster Dog Show. The dog show, held by the Westminster Kennel Club, runs Monday and Tuesday.
