Hot Clicks and the sports blogosphere has long covered the news surrounding sports WAGs (wives and girlfriends). And now the highbrow New York Times is even getting in on the action. The "newspaper of record" actually ran a column over the weekend about the New Jersey Nets crop of WAGs, which include Kim Kardashian (reportedly dating forward Kris Humphries), Maria Sharapova (who is engaged to new Net Sasha Vujacic) and Beyonce (married to part owner Jay-Z).
The Latest Trick Play...
Comes from 5A Division I Pearland (Texas) High, which faked out Trinity for this touchdown during their upset win in the championship game at Cowboys Stadium on Saturday. (Thanks to Chris Due, of Lubbock, Texas, for the link.)
This Is Why You Need 35 Bowl Games
Troy cruised past Ohio, 48-21, in the New Orleans Bowl on Saturday. The most noteworthy item to come out of the game is that we now know Troy punter Will Goggans has the best beard in college football.
NFL Roundup
Dan Connolly :: AP
Patriots offensive lineman Dan Connolly showed some impressive skills on this 71-yard kickoff return, the longest from a lineman in NFL history. ... Saints wide receiver Lance Moore had the touchdown of the day. ... Tim Tebow made his first NFL start yesterday and busted off a 40-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Luckily for us, Gus Johnson had the call. ... Texans teammates Brian Cushing and Antonio Smith got in a fight with each other on the field that actually led to a 15-yard penalty against Houston.
And Then There Was This...
You've seen the DeSean Jackson walkoff punt return -- the first in NFL history -- by now. Here's the Philadelphia radio call of the touchdown by Eagles broadcaster Merrill Reese. Here are some photos that sum up the surreal ending. And here's Jackson's postgame press conference, in which he said he would've dove in from the 12-yard line.
And The Gatorade Bottle Won
Rangers forward Dale Weise got attacked by a Gatorade bottle during Saturday's game against the Flyers.
Sports Video Of The Day
Here's a summary of Week 15 in the NFL -- in rap form.

Retail Video Of The Day
Patriots running back Danny Woodhead, who I said looks like an underage teen on his way to a keg party a couple of weeks ago, recently pretended to be a Modell's salesperson in hopes of selling his jersey.

Music Video Of The Day
Comedian Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island group unveiled a new Digital Short on this weekend's Saturday Night Live called I Just Had Sex. You'll probably watch just based on that, but just to guarantee that you hit play, the video stars Blake Lively and Jessica Alba.
