Morning Jolt: Sources say Giants to fire defensive coordinator
Bill Sheridan's first season as Giants defensive coordinator almost certainly will be his last. Though Tom Coughlin hasn't announced his intentions, several players, coaches and members of the organization all told the Daily News Sunday they expect Sheridan to be fired in the next few days. That's hardly a shock, since the team surrendered 427 points this year - the most since giving up 501 in 1966. (New York Daily News) Comment
The rumors are Bill Cowher to Tampa. But I think Carolina is the job Cowher wants - he lives in North Carolina. Now that John Fox is not getting fired after the Panthers' strong finish, Cowher could wait one more year to see what happens with Fox, who has one year left on his deal.
