Adrian Beltre, Lance Berkman, Matt Kemp, Ichiro, Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez were all hit by pitches last night. A-Rod's plunking was the most serious. He's out 6-8 weeks with a fractured hand.

The Panthers are 35-to-1 to win the Super Bowl this season. Those odds don't matter to Carolina offensive lineman Ryan Kalil, who took out a full-page ad in the Charlotte Observer today to announce that his team was going to win it all this year.
