Oregon and Fundraisers

In an effort to raise $20 million for its new baseball park, Oregon coach George Horton asked his old friend Kevin Costner (and his band, Modern West) to play a fundraiser. SIOC has one major problem with this plan -- no college students care about Costner. Instead, we suggest an event with former Duck Kaitlin Olson from the underrated It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or a charity date auction with Kelsi Metzler and the rest of the Ducks cheer squad. Better yet, why not just have Phil Knight pay for it?
Little Carroll Gets Feisty

One Way to Spend Your Summer Vacation
Why waste away your summer on the beach or laying low on campus when you could bike 3,700 miles across the United States as this North Carolina student is doing. Good luck with all that.
In Praise of Mrs. J
SIOC would like to give props to supermom Michelle Duggar, who is pregnant with her 18th child. More incredibly, every child's name starts with J.
