Arizona coach Mike Stoops came up with an interesting way to simulate the noise at Arizona State's Sun Devil Stadium -- turn on Phil Collins and turn up the volume. Yup, of all the music ever produced, Stoops chose Phil Collins. This, of course, infuriated those Tucson residents living near the Wildcats' practice facility, who filed numerous noise complaints. At least it wasn't Souljah Boy.
The Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System released details of Joe Paterno's salary, and frankly, we're not impressed. Granted he makes a nice chunk of change through personal and media appearances that wasn't included in this figure, but compared to the salary of some other top coaches, he's not exactly Bill Gates.
We've seen a bunch of these hottest sportscaster lists lately, but we love this one from College News because it gives props to the lovely Shana Hiatt, who finished No. 2. The winner, of course, is Erin Andrews, which should make her good friend (and SI.com Hot Clicks guru) Jimmy Traina quite pleased.
