Phil Knight is just another student at Stanford. ::AP
Stanford students may recognize a familiar face sitting in their class -- Nike CEO Phil Knight. The gazillionaire has been taking undergraduate classes periodically over the past three years. He's also been known to hit up the local bars with his wife, Penny -- even picking up the tab in most cases. Oh, did we forget to mention that he donated $105 million to his alma mater, the Stanford Graduate School of Business, in 2006.
Top 50 Schools for Student-Athletes
Stack Magazine has come up with their Elite 50 -- a ranking of the 50 top schools for academically-minded athletes. And No. 1 is a certain Tobbaco Road hoops powerhouse not named Duke. We'll let you do the math.
The results of the final USA Today Coaches' Poll was released and we found two interesting tidbits. First, only two coaches voted Oklahoma as the No. 1 team -- coach Bob Stoops and his old friend Steve Spurrier. Second, Texas coaches hate Hawaii. Former Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione had Hawaii ranked as No. 22, while Texas Tech coach Mike Leach had the Rainbows at No. 17.

A former Iowa professor plans to file a Title IX complaint against the university over the pink visitors' locker room in Kinnick Stadium. The tradition was started by former Hawkeyes coach Hayden Fry, a psychology major who said pink had a calming and passive effect on people. Some, however, feel the pink is derogatory toward women, intending to make visiting teams feel like "sissies."
