Who will replace Fisher in Tennessee?

A one-sentence statement and the term "parting ways" is all the Titans were willing to say Thursday. There are indications Mike Munchak, who has been Titans offensive line coach for the past 14 seasons, could be the replacement on an interim or full-time basis. ... Although the Titans opted not to extend [Fisher's] contract after a 6-10 finish to the 2010 season, on Jan. 7 they announced their intention to keep him for the final year of his contract. Fisher even spent the past few days searching for new coaches after staffing moves that included the firing of defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil. Things changed Thursday, however. Cavs shopping Mo, Antawn?

Mo Williams took the news of LeBron James' leaving especially hard, reportedly contemplating retirement then taking out some of his frustrations on Twitter. Going into this season, he was the early front-runner to become the town's new hero. That may not last long. While the Cavs have stumbled to an 8-37 record, Williams' name has surfaced in trade rumors as the Feb. 24 deadline draws near. ... It has also been reported by a number of outlets that Antawn Jamison is the subject of trade talks, as the Cavs are looking to make some significant moves before the deadline. Whether these are legit "trying to win" moves or "trying to get the No. 1 draft pick" moves, we'll see. (Dime Magazine) Comment

Mets GM not sure if Santana is throwing yet

Cleared two weeks ago to begin throwing, Johan Santana reportedly has not done so. Sandy Alderson said Wednesday that, to his knowledge, his ace hadn't actually begun tossing a baseball yet. On Jan. 14, the Mets announced that Santana had been cleared by doctors to resume throwing as part of his rehabilitation from left shoulder surgery last September. That step hasn't been taken yet, Alderson said following a news conference to introduce utility infielder Chin-lung Hu. "To my knowledge, he's not throwing at this point," Alderson said. "But again, that's his own decision and based on how he feels. I think the [physical therapists] recommended that he continue to do certain exercises, and when he feels like he's ready to toss, he will. He's medically cleared, but to my knowledge, he hasn't actually started throwing yet." (MLB.com) Comment
