Who would have thought the guy on your right would outplay the guy on the left? But that's what happened Sunday when Mark Sanchez led the nine-point underdog Jets to a win over the Patriots and an unusually-rattled Tom Brady. The Jets, who talked a lot of smack during the week, didn't let up after the game. Jets linebacker Bart Scott had some choice words for Brady and the New England defense after the game in this very high-strung interview. Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards didn't actually trash talk afterwards. He just did some flips. And CBS announcer Jim Nantz got all high and mighty at the end of the game about the Jets having the nerve to celebrate going to the AFC Championship game. Luckily, Phil Simms set him straight.
Most Impressive Record Ever
Here's the tease on 60 Minutes' website about a story that you might want to watch: "Las Vegas sports betting legend Bill Walters has never had a losing year -- a winning a streak that's made oddsmakers call him the 'most dangerous sports bettor in Nevada.' Lara Logan reports." (Thanks to Cory Davis, of Columbus, Ohio, for the tip.)
This Is Kinda Big News
Lost amid the NFL playoff madness this weekend was news that Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols, who will become a free agent after this season, told the Cardinals that a new deal has to be in place by the time spring training starts because he will not negotiate during the season. Cardinals fans, specifically the folks behind St. Louis-based website Joe Sports Fan, are already putting together their farewell vidoes, complete with a Sarah McLachlan soundtrack.

While Kevin Durant thought Scarlett Johansson stole the show at the Golden Globes last night, many others thought Mad Men's January Jones was the show-stopper. Personally, I'd say it was a tie between Halle Berry and Sofia Vergara. You can judge for yourself here. And whatever you do, in case you missed it, make sure you watch host Ricky Gervais' opening monologue.
