I am not sure what Jimmy did for New Years Eve, but he needed another couple days off to recover and will return on Wednesday. In the meantime, morale is low among New York Giants fans. The team finished a respectable 10-6, but missed the playoffs when the Packers squeaked by the Bears. Though the team has decided to bring back coach Tom Coughlin, the two things Giants fan should be most excited about are Kate Mara - the granddaughter of late Giants owner Wellington Mara - and her sister, Rooney Mara. Let's see the Packers top that (especially now that the Brett Favre bikini girls are gone).
More NFL Notes
With the regular season over, here is the first of many 2011 mock drafts ... Ravens defensive end Terrell Suggs landed a cheap shot to the face of Bengals receiver Jerome Simpson ... Drew Brees and Tom Brady became the sixth and seventh quarterbacks to have at least one touchdown pass in all 16 regular season games ... What did Rams quarterback Sam Bradford do with his $24 million bonus? He bought a ping-pong table ... Brett Favre got down to Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby during Vikings practice last week.
After The Whistle
Granted, they are dangerous and complete cheap shots, but people love a good late hit. Unathletic has a solid collection of dangerous hits after the whistle.
Winter Classic Goes Primetime

Even though Mother Nature wreaked havoc on Saturday's NHL Winter Classic, the primetime event was a smashing success as the Capitals beat the Penguins, 3-1. The game was feisty all the way through, highlighted by Dave Steckel's open-ice hit on Sidney Crosby and a great fight between Pittsburgh's Mike Rupp and Washington's John Erskine. The ratings were up for NBC and there's even talk of having next year's game in New York City's Central Park. Not all is lost for the Penguins: at least they won the Winter Classic Signature Sandwich Face-Off.
Gatorade Delay
It's been a great season for Texas Christian University, finishing a perfect 13-0 season with a Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin. Though the Horned Frogs can't play for the national championship because of the disaster known as the BCS, TCU coach Gary Patterson did provide one of the most amusing moments of the season when he yelled at his players for trying to douse him with Gatorade when with 48 seconds left in the game.
Hot Clicks Legend Dines With Former NFL Star
If you're a regular reader of Hot Clicks, you'll know that Jaime Edmondson is one of our favorites. Marcus Allen? Not so much, but he's quickly moving up in our book after being spotted out to dinner with the Playmate of the Month.
