As 2011 winds down, it's time to look back at the year's biggest sports stories. Some may remember 2011 as the year of the NBA and NFL lockouts, or the year the Cardinals came from nowhere to win the World Series. Hockey fans may look at 2011 as the year the Bruins finally captured another Stanley Cup. Those who love records may look fondly on Saints quarterback Drew Brees breaking Dan Marino's passing record or Mike Krzyzewski reaching the all-time wins record in college hoops. For me, however, nothing topped the revelation that Sarah Palin and Glen Rice allegedly had a one-night stand in 1987. The alleged tryst took place in the dorm room of Palin's younger sister while Rice, a junior at Michigan, was in town for the Great Alaska Shootout. Here's a look back at some other notable pop culture and sports moments of the year.
The Captain's NapI don't know the story behind this photo, but anytime I see Derek Jeter passed out on a deckchair while two bikini-clad girls chug vodka, I'm posting it in Hot Clicks.
Daddy's BoyCardinals wide receiverLarry Fitzgerald couldn't have been happy when teammate Early Doucet tripped and missed a potential game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's Cardinals-Bengals game. Luckily, Larry has a father who went on Twitter to rip Doucet's bad play (and then tried to delete the post).

Kelli Hutcherson :: Michael Tran/Getty ImagesMallory from Baltimore wrote in requesting a gallery of Kelli Hutcherson, Miss Strikeforce 2011. Since we rarely get a lovely lady of the day request from a female, let's honor Mallory's request and make Ms. Hutcherson today's LLOD.
Boxing's Newest PlayerLook out Don King. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has entered the fight promotion game. Seriously.
Photo of the DayWhen I'm not filling in for Jimmy, I run the SI Photo Blog and like to post funny/embarrassing photos of athletes. Last night, Drew Brees broke Dan Marino's record for most passing yards in a season. Here's a look at Marino in 1984, sitting on his helmet during an instructional clinic for Miami youth football players.
Random LinksJonathan Duhamel, who won the Main Event at the 2010 World Series of Poker, was tied up and beaten by two thugs outside his house in Montreal ... I enjoyed this collection of 10 hockey jersey fouls of 2011 ... Mark Cuban is not afraid to sweat on the media ... The nine most hated movies of 2011 ... If you didn't see TNT's season-opening video from Christmas Day, take two minutes and watch. It's incredible.
Crossover Video Of The DayThunder guard Russell Westbrook embarrasses Timberwolves guard Luke Ridnour with a sweet crossover dribble and drive.
Bad Goal Of The DayHurricanes goalie Cam Ward manages to score a goal without actually shooting the puck.
Retro Video Of The DayOn this day in 1981, Wayne Gretzky recorded his 100th point of the season in his 38th game, the fastest a player had ever reached 100 points in a season (Gretzky later beat his own record). Gretzky also recorded his 400th career point in a win over the Kings that day. In this video earlier from that same year, Gretzky is interviewed by CBC host Tommy Banks before the two play table hockey.
