Plaxico ticketed four times in one day
Plaxico Burress had another run-in with cops earlier this month -- but this time, the only person packing heat was the guy holding the badge. Plaxico racked up four separate violations ... at the same time ... when Florida cops pulled over the NY Giants WR's black SUV on March 1st -- speeding (60 in a 45), improper display of tags, improper lane change and for improper window tinting (too dark). Twins pass on Barry Bonds
A representative for Barry Bonds contacted the Twins to see if they had any interest in signing baseball's all-time home run hitter, who is 44 and a free agent. "Who do you want me to get rid of, (Delmon) Young, (Michael) Cuddyer, (Carlos) Gomez, (Denard) Span or (Jason) Kubel?" Twins general manager Billy Smith said Thursday. "Which one?" Smith said the Twins would pass on Bonds, who has 762 career homers. "I said that (outfield) is one area of strength and depth on our club, and we're going to go with the guys we've got," Smith said. Hughes thinks LeBron will stay put
Larry Hughes has brought a smile to Knicks fans' faces in recent days with his clutch play, but his opinion on his buddy and former Cavaliers teammate LeBron James' future will not be a popular one in the Big Apple. Hughes, who revisits Cleveland Sunday for the first time as a Knick when they close their Rust-Belt Tour, told The Post he thinks there's a good chance James will stay in Cleveland, possibly signing a contract extension this summer. "I think it would be a tough situation for him to actually leave everything," Hughes said. "It's set up for him there, being from the area [and] taking that team as far as he's taken them. He's the face of the organization. He's the face of sports in that city. It would be tough."(New York Post)
