The New Jersey Nets set a record for the worst start in NBA history last night. A 117-101 loss to the Mavericks dropped the Nets to 0-18. Apparently, whoever runs the team's Web site doesn't want you to know about the level of futility that's been reached because it's not even mentioned in their lead story. In fact, the tease reads, "On Wednesday night at the IZOD Center, Chris Douglas-Roberts scored a game-high 24 points, yet the Nets lost to the Dallas Mavericks, 117-101. Devin Harris added 17 points." Um, you kinda left out a pretty big part of the story. Especially when the club is now being compared to the 2008 Detroit Lions. Anyway, I noticed that only because I was headed over to the section of the site that features the Nets' cheerleaders, so I could show that there are some good things about the franchise. And there are plenty of fascinating things about Jersey, as we'll see tonight with the debut of Jersey Shore on MTV.
The Phoenix Suns have a very important message for you this holiday season.
