I'm going to apologize ahead of time for letting my Yankee fandom come out, but I have no choice in this matter. The man pictured above is the legendary Mariano Rivera, the greatest closer in the history of baseball and a no-brainer, first-ballot Hall of Famer. His nickname is simply, "Mo." You can get away with calling him "Sandman" or "Mister Sandman" or "Enter Sandman" since that's his entrance song. However, nobody ever calls him "Super Mariano," which this site claims in its gallery of the top 30 nicknames in recent Major League history. Please correct this travesty!
I'm not sure how this is possible unless the guy looks like Ralph Macchio, but a 21-year-old was recently busted for posing as a 14-year-old so he could join a youth football team. (Thanks to Dan, of Mentor, Ohio, for the link.)
And He's Around Sweaty Teammates All Day!
Pacers forward Danny Granger is in Turkey for the FIBA World Championships. He's making it known that isn't a fan of the, um, atmosphere.
