Morrisville, N.C. > Diving

Jordan, a sophomore at International Connections Academy online school, won the men’s 10-meter title at the national championships in Knoxville, Tenn., scoring 527.80 points to win by 84.90. A week earlier he took four golds and one silver at junior nationals. Jordan will compete for the U.S. at the world juniors in Russia in September.

Kailua, Hawaii > Surfing

Brisa, 14, a freshman at Hawaii Technology Academy, won the all-ages Explorer women’s category— and the 14-and-under girls’ open and Explorer girls’ divisions — at the National Scholastic Surfing Association championships in Huntington Beach, Calif. In June, Brisa won the girls’ 18-and-under title at the U.S. championships.

Shreveport, La. > Golf

Sam, a senior at Calvary Baptist Academy, shot a 10-under 274 to win the 39th annual Junior PGA Championship boys’ title by two strokes at the Miramont Country Club in Bryan, Texas. In June he won the AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions. The nation’s top junior in the AJGA rankings, Sam has verbally committed to LSU.

Fort Wayne, Ind. > Soccer

Killion, a senior midfielder at UCLA and a member of the U.S. under-23 squad, had a goal and two assists to lead the L.A. Blues to a 6-1 victory over the Washington Spirit for the W-League championship. The pro-am organization is the oldest women’s league in North America. Last season Killion helped the Bruins win their first NCAA title.

Jupiter, Fla. > Swimming

Josh, a home-schooled fifth-grader who competes for the Jupiter Dragons, won the boys’ 10-and-under high-point award at the long course Florida Gold Coast Junior Olympics. He took eight gold medals and a silver and broke a Gold Coast age-group record with a 1:12.17 in the 100-meter backstroke, the top age-group time in the country this year.
