Time Inc. has announced its launch of Daily Cut, a new live and on-demand video platform.
Time Inc. has launched The Daily Cut, a new live and on-demand video platform, the company announced Thursday.
The platform will hold a library of more than 35,000 videos, including more than 1,500 hours of premium video programming from Time Inc. brands, including SI Now and People. Users of The Daily Cut will be able to create customized playlists of their favorite content, as well as view trending topics and editor picks across genres including sports, lifestyle, entertainment, news and fashion.
Simultaneous viewing and browsing will also be possible, allowing users to watch videos while checking out additional content and easily sharing content through social media.
The Daily Cut will be available as app on iOS, Android and Roku and can also be accessed at its website, www.dailycut.com.
Sports Illustrated launched SI Now, its daily live show, in June 2013. That September, the company added Pro Football Now, a weekly show during the NFL season. It also recently completed the third season of its high school football series, Underdogs.
In 2014, Sports Illustrated earned two Sports Emmy Awards nominations and its first win, for an SI Longform story on the 2013 SportsKid of the Year.
