Just weeks after her big win in Japan, racing sensation Danica Patrick got a major scare and a setback in Indianapolis. On Friday, she accidentally hit a crew member of Dale Coyne racing team as she pulled in for a pit stop during a practice run. Charles Buckman suffered a concussion, along with facial cuts and bruises, while Patrick ended up missing the pole for the Indy 500.

The Penguins continued to breeze through the playoffs, claiming two victories against the Flyers in the Eastern Conference finals. The wins extended their playoff run to 10-1, making them the first team to achieve such success since the 1995 Red Wings.

The oft-dubbed "Yankees of soccer" picked up their 10th Premier League title in the last 16 years as they defeated Wigan 2-0 on Sunday to edge league foe Chelsea by two points in the standings. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the go-ahead score in the 33rd minute off a penalty kick.
