North Carolina governor Roy Cooper is allowing NASCAR can move forward with the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway at the end of May unless there is a decline in health conditions. The race is scheduled to be the 60th year of the event and will be held without fans in attendance. NASCAR has made clear its intentions to run all 36 races this season, though the dates will be revised and some tracks may be unavailable if the state does not permit a sporting event.
