Report: NBA, players union could examine raising age limit
The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association could seek a rule in which the age limit to enter the league is raised to 21 but players can still be drafted out of high school, reports Sporting News' Sean Deveney.
Currently, a player must be 19 years of age to declare for the NBA Draft. The new rule would have players stay in the NBA Development League for two seasons or until they reach the age of NBA eligibility.
According to the report, these players would receive a higher salary in the D-League. D-League players salary average around $25,000 a year.

“The NCAA are a bunch of horses’ asses,” one source said. “If they don’t get their heads out of the sand and help these kids who come from nothing, then you will see the NBA make a move toward salaries way more attractive than they are now at the D-League level."
