Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook likely will play Wednesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Westbrook missed the Thunder's 108-101 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday after absorbing an inadvertent knee to the face in the final seconds of Friday's loss in Portland.

Westbrook reportedly underwent surgery to repair his zygomatic arch bone. When he returns on Wednesday night, Westbrook likely will wear a protective mask, according to Wojnarowski.

Over 45 games this season, Westbrook has averaged career-highs in points (26.5), rebounds (6.8) and assists (8.1) while emerging as a possible candidate for the Most Valuable Player award.

Oklahoma City (33-27) currently owns the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.
