Bulls' Hinrich sidelined vs. Pistons with hyperextended knee

CHICAGO (AP) Chicago Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich has been ruled out of Friday night's game against the Detroit Pistons because of a hyperextended left knee.

Hinrich was injured during the third quarter against Milwaukee on Wednesday night when Bucks center Zaza Pachulia rolled up on his left knee. Hinrich underwent an MRI exam on Thursday that revealed the extent of the injury.

Hinrich is averaging 5.9 points in 63 games.

Rookie forward Doug McDermott (back soreness) was available for Friday's game after not playing since March 21.
