Trail Blazers' Lillard to give graduation speech at Weber St

OGDEN, Utah (AP) Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard will deliver an address when he graduates from Weber State on Friday.

Lillard will graduate with a degree in professional sales from the College of Applied Science & Technology. He will be one of two student speakers at the Dee Events Center at 8 a.m., the school said Thursday.

Lillard is scheduled to walk across the stage and receive his diploma at 10 a.m.

Lillard was a two-time Big Sky MVP while at Weber State before being selected No. 6 overall in the 2012 NBA draft. He was the NBA Rookie of the Year that season. His 1,934 career points while at Weber State rank No. 2 in school history.
