Lakers' Kobe Bryant takes shots for first time since shoulder surgery

Sunday August 23rd, 2015

Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was back in the gym Saturday taking shots for the first time since his shoulder surgery.

Bryant had surgery in April to repair a torn rotator cuff and the Lakers estimated that he would need six to nine months to recover. October will mark six months since the surgery.

Bryant posted a photo on Instagram Saturday saying it was his “first day back on the court shooting.”

He is entering his 20th season in the NBA and said earlier this month that he is unsure if he will play a 21st. His past three seasons have ended prematurely due to injury.
