Houston Rockets SF Sam Dekker reportedly out three months with back injury

Houston Rockets rookie Sam Dekker will undergo back surgery on Friday and is expected to miss three months, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reports.

Dekker was selected with the 18th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft after three years at the University of Wisconsin. He played in six minutes over three games for Houston before being sent to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA D-League.

During his junior season with the Badgers in 2014–15, Dekker averaged 13.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 31 minutes per game. Dekker helped lead Wisconsin to a national title game appearance, though the Badgers lost to Duke.
