Durant was also asked about the state of the Thunder roster and whether he would like to see a deal made.
“That’s out of my control,” Durant said. “I trust Sam 100%. Whatever he does I know it’s for the betterment of the organization and the team. So whatever he chooses to do I’m happy with and I’m going to support it. I’m not one of those guys that needs so much or wants to know every single move. It’s part of the game and I’ve got to roll with the punches and whatever happens, happens and I’ve got to be a good leader no matter what.”
Durant is averaging 27.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. Durant will be a free agent at the end of the season.
The Thunder are 40–14 and third place in the Western Conference.
The trade deadline is 3 p.m. ET on Thursday.
