Brooklyn Nets waive Andrea Bargnani
Sunday February 21st, 2016

The Brooklyn Nets have waived forward Andrea Bargnani, the veteran confirmed Saturday.

Bargnani, 30, averaged a career-low 6.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 46 games this season. He has also failed to make a start for the first time in his career.

The former No. 1 pick signed a two-year, veteran minimum contract with the Nets last offseason.

The move is the first roster shakeup for general manager Sean Marks, who was hired to replace Billy King on Thursday.

Over 10 NBA seasons, Bargnani has averaged 14.3 points and 4.6 rebounds.
