Knicks sign Jimmer Fredette to 10-day contract
The New York Knicks have signed guard Jimmer Fredette to a 10-day contract, the team announced on Monday.
Fredette ranked fifth in the NBA D-League with 21.8 points per game in 30 games for the Westchester Knicks, adding 4.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds. Last weekend, he took home D-League All-Star Game MVP for his record 35 point-performance.
A first-round pick of the Kings in 2011, Fredette fell out of the NBA in 2015 after a brief stint with the New Orleans Pelicans and was taken with the No. 2 pick in the D-League draft by Westchester. He was again picked up by the Pelicans earlier this season, but was cut after just nine days and reacquired by the Knicks.

The team had a roster spot open after choosing not to renew the 10-day contract of Fredette’s Westchester teammate Thanasis Antetokounmpo.
