Rockets meeting with Warriors free agent center Looney
The Houston Rockets will meet with Golden State Warriors center Kevon Looney on Sunday, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.
An unrestricted free agent, Looney averaged 6.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 80 games (24 starts) for the Warriors last season, shooting 62.5 percent from the field and 61.9 percent from the free-throw line.
The Warriors are also said to have a dialogue set up with Looney on Sunday, according to Logan Murdock of NBCS Authentic.
Looney, 23, suffered a broken collar bone in Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. In 21 postseason games (1 start) this season, he averaged 7.1 points, 4.5 boards and 1.0 assists.
Golden State selected 6-foot-9, 220-pound Looney with the 30th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft out of UCLA.
