The Philadelphia 76ers have re-signed free agent swingman Furkan Korkmaz, according to a team news release.

The deal is for two years at the veteran's minimum, according to Bobby Marks of ESPN.

“We’re excited to have Furkan back and look forward to his continued growth and contributions,” general manager Elton Brand said in the release. “He has a strong work ethic and he’s well-respected in our locker room. Having just turned 22, Furkan is a talented young player with significant potential, and we’re thrilled to have him on our roster.”

Korkmaz is 6-foot-7 and averaged 5.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in 48 regular-season games.

He will help serve as a backup to the starting wing tandem of Tobias Harris and Josh Richardson next season.
