Jimmy Hall scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Kent State dropped its second game in as many nights, 75-69 to Penn State on Wednesday.

It was the final game for the Golden Flashes in the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic, which began last week. Kent (7-4) split its four Classic games.

Coach Rob Senderoff expressed disappointment after watching his Flashes blow a six-point lead with 9:00 left in the game.

"I don't think any of our guys played to the best of their ability out there," Senderoff said. "We have to learn from this and get better in league play, which ultimately is the most important thing for us. If we learn from this, it will be a valuable trip."

Kellon Thomas added 12 points, and Xavier Pollard and Chris Ortiz scored 11 apiece.

The Nittany Lions (9-4) were paced by Brandon Taylor's game-high 29 points.

Kent next faces North Carolina A&T at home Dec. 30.
