Cavs signing Warriors free agent McCaw to offer sheet

The Cleveland Cavaliers are signing restricted free agent shooting guard Patrick McCaw to an offer sheet, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Warriors will have an opportunity to match the offer, which Wojnarowski reported is worth two-years and $6 million.

According to Wojnarowski, McCaw has "clearly indicated" he no longer wants to play for the Warriors.

McCaw has been sitting out the season since turning down the Warriors' reported offer of two years and $5.2 million in the fall.

McCaw is 6-foot-7 and averaged 4.0 points in each of his first two seasons, appearing in 57 games last year.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said in October he was hopeful McCaw would return to the two-time defending champions.

The Warriors will have until Jan. 7 to match the Cavs' offer or waive McCaw and lose him for nothing.
