The 76ers have waived forward Gerald Wallace, per MassLive. Wallace, 33, played just 32 games for the Celtics last season, before being traded twice (by the Celtics and Warriors) in July. Wallace has played for five teams since the Kings selected him in the first round of the 2001 draft.

Former Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau is visiting the Hornets training camp to offer head coach Steve Clifford an "extra set of eyes," per the Charlotte Observer. Clifford has invited coaches to provide similar roles in his previous two seasons with the Hornets, including current Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy and ex-Suns and Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni.

Knicks coach Derek Fisher said he doesn't think Carmelo Anthony is disgruntled with the organization despite its recent struggles, per ESPN New York. "I think he actually enjoys and likes working with these guys," Fisher told the website.
