Pacers star Oladipo out 'indefinitely' with sore knee
The Indiana Pacers released some sobering injury news on Friday, as leading scorer Victor Oladipo will be out indefinitely with a knee injury.
The team tweeted out the news (see tweet at the bottom of the post), and stated that it's a “sore right knee” that the 25-year-old All-Star is suffering from, with no date to return.
Oladipo hasn't taken the court since Nov. 17 and yet still leads the team in points (21.4), steals (1.56) and minutes played (32.4) per game.
He's also second on the team in rebounds (6.6) and assists (4.7) per game for the Pacers, who enter action on Friday with a mark of 13-9, good for fifth in the Eastern Conference.
ESPN reports that “there are no structural issues with Oladipo's knee and that he has recently participated in 4-on-4 workouts,” which is good news that at least he's able to take the court in some fashion.
