Lakers sign forward Jones to two-year pact

The Los Angeles Lakers have inked forward Jemerrio Jones to a two-year deal, according to Shams Charania of Stadium.

The 6-foot-5 rookie out of New Mexico State, where he was the Western Athletic Conference Players of the Year in the 2017-18 season, averaged 9.5 points, a team-leading 9.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 47 game for the Lakers' G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.

Jones was selected by the Santa Cruz Warriors with the 18th overall pick in the 2018 G League draft, then trade to South Bay in October.
