Late rally halts Charge's winning streak

CANTON, Ohio -- Nick Minnerath scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the Canton Charge failed to hold a late lead and had their seven-game winning streak, 99-93, by the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Saturday.

The Charge (12-12) led 89-80 with 5:23 to play, but were outscored 19-4 to close the game.

Jorge Gutierrez added 16 points and seven assists for Canton, and Quinn Cook scored 14. Minnerath also pulled down nine rebounds.

The Skyforce (21-4) were paced by Bubu Palo's 19 points. Keith Benson tacked on 18 points and 12 boards, while ex-OhioState big man Byron Mullens collected 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Canton's seven-game winning streak tied a franchise record.
