Warriors kick back, relax, await Finals foe
The Golden State Warriors began their 10-day stretch between games Tuesday with no practice. They'll spend their second day much the same way.
Right now, the Warriors' appear to be the favorites -- having not lost a playoff game and owning home-court advantage regardless of Finals opponent.
"They are in a groove," said San Antonio Spurs forward Pau Gasol, following his team's sweep by the Warriors in the Western Conference finals.
With Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and the rest clicking, the only seems to be who will coach the team during the Finals. With head coach Steve Kerr continuously dealing with back issues, Mike Brown has taken over without skipping a beat.
Actually, Brown instructs from the sidelines, but it is Kerr's system (and occasionally, his voice in the halftime locker room) that has kept the Warriors rolling.
Game 1 of the Finals isn't until Thursday, June 1. Until then, the Warriors appear content to take some time off, refresh and wait to see who they play next.
