The Atlanta Hawks have added Washington Wizards vice president of basketball operations Tommy Sheppard and Golden State Warriors assistant general manager Travis Schlenk to their list of general manager candidates, according to ESPN.

Other names that have been linked to the vacancy include Brooklyn Nets executive Trajan Langdon, Cleveland Cavaliers GM David Griffin and former Detroit Pistons basketball man Joe Dumars.

The Hawks reportedly were rejected by Portland in an effort to interview Trail Blazers GM Neil Olshey.

The position of Hawks GM was created after the team reassigned GM Wes Wilcox and head coach/team president Mike Budenholzer. Wilcox will work in an a role assisting the ownership team, while Budenholzer will strictly coach.
