Langdon a candidate for Hawks vacancy?
Former NBA guard and current Brooklyn Nets executive Trajan Langdon has emerged as a candidate for the Atlanta Hawks' open general manager position, according to Channel 2 Sports in Atlanta.
Langdon played college basketball at Duke, the same program that produced former NBA star and current Hawks part-owner Grant Hill.
The Hawks re-assigned general manager Wes Wilcox and removed head coach Mike Budenholzer's basketball operations responsibilities after the season. Wilcox is reportedly a candidate for some college and other NBA openings.
Langdon was drafted by the Cavaliers with the No. 11 pick in 1999. He played just three NBA seasons before a successful overseas career. He has also worked for the San Antonio Spurs as a scout.
Neither the Hawks not Langdon could be reached for comment.
Several reports stated the Hawks are also interest in Cavs GM David Griffin, who is operating on the final year of his contract.
