The Houston Rockets are actively shopping point guard Patrick Beverley, according to a report from the Sporting News.

Per the report:

Beverley, who averaged 9.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists last season, has been open to a trade away from Houston leading into this offseason, the source said, and has consulted with the team about the possible move. The Rockets could get a deal done before Thursday’s NBA Draft.

Beverley, 28, is considered one the league's premier backcourt defenders and the Rockets' emotional leader. He averaged 9.5 points and 5.9 rebounds in 67 games this past season.

He reportedly is open to the idea of a trade -- but reports indicate his preference is to remain in Houston.
