Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry is among the those expected to be pursued by the Minnesota Timberwolves in free agency, according to a report from the Sporting News.

The Timberwolves are also looking into Jrue Holiday (New Orleans Pelicans), Jeff Teague (Indiana Pacers) and George Hill (Utah Jazz).

As Larry Brown sports noted:

The Wolves may find themselves priced out of Lowry’s market, but an upgrade at least makes sense. They sacrificed a lot of guard depth by including Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn in the trade for Butler and have never really seemed comfortable with committing to Ricky Rubio as their point guard of the future.

Minnesota just pulled off a blockbuster of a deal, acquiring All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler from the Chicago Bulls on Thursday. They have also been linked to New York point guard Derrick Rose, another former player under Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau while in Chicago.
