Clippers reportedly exploring Jordan trades

The Los Angeles Clippers are "surveying the market" for a potential trade centered on center DeAndre Jordan, according to a report from ESPN.

Per the report:

One of the teams contacted was the Phoenix Suns, sources told ESPN. A proposal of Jordan in exchange for veteran center Tyson Chandler and the Suns' No. 4 pick in the 2017 NBA draft was discussed, sources said.

The Suns, however, are believed to have balked at the overture.

The Clippers are clearly aiming to retool their roster following another forgettable season in which they started strong -- then got bounced by Portland in the first round of the playoffs.

Starters Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and J.J. Redick are all entering free agency. It is widely believed around the NBA that Paul and Griffin could leave, perhaps as pieces in separate sign-and-trade arrangements.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers are believed to be one team that plans to strongly pursue Redick.
