Report: Ball considering workout for Sixers

Lonzo Ball doesn't want to work out for the team with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, but he may consider the team with the third.

That's the latest from ESPN, which reported the guard out of UCLA is open to paying a visit to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Per the report:

A final decision will be made once Ball's agent, Harrison Gaines, and Sixers general manager Bryan Colangelo have had an extensive conversation centered on the identity of the team, sources told ESPN.

That dialogue is expected within the coming weeks. Most expect Ball to be off the board after the first two selections.

The Sixers are expected to use rookie-to-be Ben Simmons as a major ballhandler -- reportedly something that may give the Ball camp hesitancy in signing up.

"However, the Sixers believe Ball and Simmons can mesh at a high level, sources say," per ESPN.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics own the No. 1 pick and president Danny Ainge said in a radio interview that Ball has declined a workout with the team. (Full report.)
