NBA draft prospect Trae Young is expected to go through a private work out with the New York Knicks, according to the New York Post.

The Knicks own the No. 9 overall pick, and Young is expected to be drafted within the top 10. Some mainstream mock drafts have Young going as high as sixth by the Orlando Magic.

The dynamic guard entered the draft after one season at Oklahoma, where he became the first freshman to lead the nation in scoring (27.4 points) and assists (8.7).

"An NBA source said Young will work out for 'a handful' of clubs, and his schedule is still being mapped out," the Post reported.

There is no set date for Young to conduct his workouts -- though most workouts take place close to the when the draft is held near the end of June.

"Despite the Knicks’ point-guard glut, and after drafting Frank Ntilikina last June at No. 8, sources have indicated the 6-foot-1 Young is heavily on their radar if he falls to No. 9 because of his high upside," the Post reported.

Meanwhile, Adam Zagoria of reported the Phoenix Suns (selecting No. 1 overall), Sacramento Kings (No. 2), Atlanta Hawks (No. 3), Memphis Grizzlies (No. 4) and Philadelphia 76ers (No. 10) have all "passed through Oklahoma to interview staff and faculty" about Young.

Zagoria added that the Cleveland Cavaliers (No. 8 overall) have "been in touch."

The draft is scheduled for June 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
